Hi, I'm Mat Harvard. I'm a programmer living in Victoria, British Columbia. This website is mostly filled with articles concerning Ruby and/or Rails; it's where I post everything I learn.

Work

I work on Mac OS X mainly, and use Linux for everything else. My workstation is a MacBook Pro, with a 23” Apple Cinema Display. Ruby is my favorite programming language, due to its elegant syntax and simplicity. I work mostly with Ruby on Rails, a web framework written in Ruby.

This website

This is the fifth iteration of MatHarvard.ca, or .com as it used to be known as (both domains still work). It's powered by a small Rails publishing application which I wrote, and hopefully will release. Previous versions can be viewed here. Most of the time it's HTML 5 valid, but like any dynamic website, when content changes, things can go wrong.
